Formed in October 1984, the Information Center provides a centralized location for information resources on magnetic recording. The CMRR collection is designed to be an exhaustive collection and includes books, journals, theses, technical reports, standards and specifications. videotaped seminars, corporate information sources, and databases. Although the collection is open to any researcher for in-house consultation, borrowing is restricted to CMRR faculty, students, staff, and CMRR's corporate sponsors. The journal collection is not available for loan. Photocopies of journal articles are made available on request to corporate members. Photocopying facilities are available for on-site users.
