Our research efforts are substantially funded by leading companies in the data storage industry, as well as through grants from governmental agencies at the state and national level, presently including the University of California's Industry-University Cooperative Research Program (IUCRP), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Security Agency (NSA), the Advanced Technology Program of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST/ATP), the Department of Defense Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) program, and the Sloan Foundation. The Center also actively participates in, and receives research funding from, the Information Storage Industry Consortium (INSIC).
